Gertrud MINI Jacket is a soft and cute teddy jacket for children with buttons in placket front. The jacket is made in a soft teddy fabric, and it is fully lined with block printed cotton lining. The jacket has pockets at front on both sides made in kantha blanket and a small ruffle details in block printed cotton along the top of the shoulders.
This item is made with handmade block print which is a traditional craft technique in India. Wooden blocks are being carved by hand and used as stamps. The blocks, made from wood such as teak, sycamore and pear, are hand-carved in a myriad of intricate designs. The blocks are dipped in color and hand pressed onto the fabric. This process is repeated until the length of the fabric is complete. Precision is demanded by the Indian artisans to ensure a perfect finish.
